Hello blog visitors! My name is Sonia Acosta. I am a 23-year-old student originally from Miami currently working on my master’s in mass communication at the University of Florida. I am in my second year in the program and also in my last semester. I received a bachelor’s degree in advertising from UF in 2006.
My professional interests lie mostly in new media and multimedia. I am interested in marketing, advertising and public relations, basically any form of communication. During my graduate studies I discovered a passion for all things digital and have been working on increasing my skills on the Web ever since. Still, I am careful to continue improving my traditional skills as well.
My day-to-day goal is to continue to make myself an increasingly well-rounded communicator that can be an asset to any company. Upon graduation in December, I hope to land a job with an international or multicultural communications agency where I can put the skills and knowledge I have acquired throughout my education, internships, and jobs into good use to begin a rewarding and exciting career in communications.
